With your help, we envision this site to be the main source of knowledge-sharing on Port-Margot. We plan to publish regularly pictures of former and current dignitaries, profiles, little known stories about Port-Margot, old pictures etc…, but it can not happen without your help. Sharing your knowledge of Port-Margot with PortMargotHaiti.info is sharing it with generations to come. Sound like a good idea? Well, we aim even a little bit higher. We would like this site to be a reservoir of information and education for all. Promoting Port Margot culturally and supporting it financially through social projects are a few of our many dreams for Port-Margot. We hope some of the pictures you will see as well as the stories you will read on Portmargothaiti.info will bring you some old and interesting memories about our dear town. If you are still reading that means you are more interested in Port Margot than you probably think and we ask you to continue reading and send us your suggestions. We count on you to make this site what is meant to be, which is a great place to meet friends, chat, laugh as well as sharing memories and why not ideas in how we can better help Port-Margot. Many of us have left Port Margot a while ago and never returned, but by visiting Portmargothaiti.info you are certain to feel at home again and relive the good old days. For sure, each of us has a special reason for going or not going back, but whether you are a frequent visitor or not we are certain that deep down inside you would love to see a beautiful Port-Margot.
As you all know, Haiti is financially dependent on overseas and Port-Margot is not exempt from that formula. On that note, we might even say that the Diaspora is holding the oxygen tank that helps Port-Margot breathe more freely. For that reason, we encourage everyone to become a permanent member of the Organization for the Development of Port-Margot, INC (ODEP) in order to support the social projects in Port-Margot. We encourage you to support this noble cause, which is to improve the lives of those who are less fortunate back home as well as modernizing Port-Margot.
